Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty is reportedly set to meet the Queen and Tony Blair. The Bollywood star, who won the British reality television show at the heart of a racist bullying row, has apparently been invited to a reception to mark Commonwealth Day on March 12 where she will come face-to-face with the Queen.
 
Bharti-Walmart to hit soon into Hyderabad E-mail

After Metro, Reliance fresh now it is going to be Bharti-Walmart turn to open the big shops in Hyderabad.As per media sources Bharti-Walmart is looking for a land for two hypermarkets to launch in the Hyderabad, the hypermarkets will be situated on outskirts of the city and will have about 80,000 square feet of retail space.  It seems the company already has done market survey about competitors and analysis about demographics of the city. It is looking for total three acres of property for setting up these hypermarkets.

 
GDP growth rate revised to 9 per cent E-mail

Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday attributed nine per cent economic growth rate in 2005-06 to the UPA Government's investment-friendly policies. It was UPA Government's policy, which promoted investment in the economy, yielding growth of 9 per cent for 2005-06, he told reporters in Delhi.

 
High court cleared for formation of Greater HYD E-mail

Now it all set for the formation of Greater Hyderabad by merging nearby municipalities and villages with the city, the Andhra Pradesh High Court Wednesday dismissed petitions against the government move.

With the formation of Greater Hyderabad, city may see  a drastic change. 10 municipalities of Ranga Reddy district, two of Medak district and eight villages are coming under Hyderabad, the city would get expanded from about 175 sq km to 725 sq km. It would now extend as far as the industrial town Patancheru in Medak, registering almost a five-fold increase in size.

 
Vizag to host 4’th ODI between India-Sri Lanka E-mail

India and Sri Lanka 4’th and final one-day international cricket match to be held at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam on February 17, senior IAS officer and president of Andhra Cricket Association K.V. Rao at a press conference confirmed that all arrangements are made, also the capacity of stadium has been increased from about 20,000 to 30,000.
