HMDA Approval Required For New Ventures |

New DTCP Layouts in the vicinity of the city will no more be possible
with the upcoming formation of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development
Authority (HMDA). Several large projects proposed by developers and
which are in land acquisition stage or pre-approval stage will have to
be approved by HMDA and not DTCP. Developers who have priced the
layouts as per DTCP regulations and collected advance from buyers are
likely to be under pressure.

Amidst the controversy over the issue of giving away management control
of the proposed Fab City to SemIndia, the state government has decided
to take direct control of the project.

Trafficking News: TRS suspends MP Narendra |

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party has suspended its number
two leader and MP A. Narendra for his alleged involvement in the human
trafficking racket. Narendra's
suspension was announced by TRS official spokesperson S. Madhusudhana Chary
after daylong consultations by party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao with party
legislators Wednesday.

The Videocon Group on Friday unveiled a slew of projects for the state.
These include assembling LCD unit at Taratala, creating two IT and biotech SEZs
in Siliguri and Kharagpur, building a 32 lakh sqft IT tower in Salt Lake,
setting up a semiconductor facility near Kolkata.

Reliance Energy and Israel In Race For City Tower |

Anil Ambani’s Reliance Energy and an Israeli construction giant are in
the race for the prestigious 100-storied tower that is to come up at
Manchirevula on the city outskirts. A consortium of Reliance Energy and Shoba
Developers of Bangalore, and the real estate wing of Israel-based Elbit Medical
Imaging submitted technical bids for the project on Monday.
