 Film "Salute" with Vishaal and Nayanthara in the lead roles, directed by Rajasekhar and produced by Vikram Krishna on the banner of GK Film corporation was launched at Annapurna studios in Hyderabad on August 15. This is the first straight Telugu film for Vishal. Vishal's mother Tongue is Telugu, but he first acted in Tamil movies and they were dubbed into Telugu. D. Ramanaidu gave the clap, Devi Sri Prasad switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised under the honorary direction of Puri Jagannath. Upendra, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, Chandramohan, Ali, Jeeva, Ravi Kale and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by Sashank Vennelakanti, lyrics are by Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry and Chandrabose, music is by Harris Jayraj and cinematography is by R.D. Rajasekhar.

 "Tooneegaa Tooneega" Song fame Suhani Kalita bags one more movie as heroine. She had signed up with Sri Venkata Satya Sai Films. This film is directed Sivaji Prasad and produced by Peketi Subrahmanyeswara, Yashwant of "Aa Roje" fame as hero. Raj Kiran is scoring music for the movie.  Mohanbabu is producing a big budget film under his own banner of Lakshmi Prasanna Films casting his son Vishnu as hero, this film will be directed by P.Vasu (of Chadramukhi Sensation). The latest buzz is that Rohini Sahani, a model from Mumbai, had been finalized to play the female lead. Nagarjuna would be playing a full length character in this film (as a "Divine Almighty", as per sources). In the past Nag acted in Mohanbabu's film "Adhipathi". As per rumor that this movie story is none other than free adaptation of Hollywood flick "Bruce Almighty" story.

 For Pawan Kalyan's next film in the direction of S J Surya,
the music will be composed by the popular music director AR Rahman. Earlier
these three combination worked for mega hit movie "Khushi", which is the biggest hit
in entire Pawan Kalyan's career so far. As per sources that this film is titled as "Puli".
Film Financier and Producer Ramesh who produced Tamil Pokiri with Vijay will be
producing this film. Pawan Kalyan will start working for "Puli" once his

The audio of a children's film 'O Chinnari Korika' directed by Nagendrakumar Vepuri and produced by Smt VVV Lakshmi on the banner of Achyutha Lakshmi Arts was launched at Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber in Hyderabad on August 13th. The speciality of the film is that the director Nagendrakumar himself scored music and scripted lyrics for the movie. There are a total of five songs in the movie. Director cum producer Tammareddy Bharadwaja launched the audio and handed over the first audio cassette to film journalist Pasupuleti Rama Rao. The audio rights been brought by Aditya Music. Master Rosha, Nagendra Kumar, Meenakshi and others are in the lead cast.
