 Director of "Manasutho, Yagnam and Veerabhadra" films A S Ravikumar Chowdhary was arrested on the charges of domestic violence. His wife Naga Bindu filed case against him and police arrested him and he was sent to remand. He married Nagabindu in November 2005. It was an arranged marriage.
He was recently attacked and stabbed by unknown person.
The director obtained bail in the case.It is learnt that negotiations for an amicable out of court settlement are in progress.

After failing to enter into a compromise with
Nandini and family, Pavan Kalyan filled a divorce petition in the Visakhapatnam
family court. The reason cited in his petition is strange: He has described
Nandini as a cruel woman and that she treated him with utter contempt. He said
any continuation of the marital relationship would cause grave damage and injury
to his mental health.
Pawan Kalyan's advocate said that the actor is
seeking divorce under section 13(1)(A)(B) of the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955,
citing irreconcilable differences. The petition registered in the court as OP
590/2007, has been posted for hearing on September 5 when the actor has to
present himself before the court. Pawan in his petition, also cited Nandini's
frequent threats that he should quit the film world for her sake and her
'disrespect' towards members of his 'mega' family. The actor in his petition,
said Nandini left him in October 1997 and refused to come back and that he has
been living apart from her since then. Pawan and Nandini got married on May 17,
1997, in Shirdi.
Her father Chakradara Rao said their family holds
all evidence of harassment against her daughter by the actor and proof of
Pawan's second marriage. Chiranjeevi family says that Pawan has not married to
Renu Desai at all but as per sources that Nadini family have collected all
proofs to prove that Pawan and Renu Desai are married, they have collected Renu
Desai son's birth certificate where it says Pawan Kaylyan as father and they
have also collected one more proof that Pawan Kalyan entered Renu Desai name as
wife in protocol list when Ex-President Abdul Kalam visited Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Nandini's family is yet to come to grips
with Pawan's 'wild allegations,' as revealed by Nandini's lawyer Devara
Satyanarayana. He said that initially, Nandini's stand was to go for
rapprochement. But if there is no course for reunion, the family would fight the
case on an equal footing, he said It was Nandini who started it all, by filing a
bigamy case in the first additional metropolitan magistrate court against Pawan
and his family on June 22. Later, she moved the family court, seeking alimony.
The family court had asked the actor to appear before it on July 31

 Hero Pawan Kalyan has agreed to do his next film with director S J Surya. This film is titled as "Puli". S J Surya had earlier directed the successful film ‘Khsuhi’ with Pawan Kalyana. Film Financier and Producer Ramesh who produced Tamil Pokkiri with Vijay will produce this film "Puli".
Pawan Kalyan will start working for "Puli" once his current film with Trivikram Srinivas completes its shooting.

 Hello… Premisthara!, Sairam Shankar and Sheela as
lead pair, produced by Puri Jagannath, under the banner of Vaishno Academy and
presented by Dil Raju is complete except for one song, which will be canned at
Polachi and Kolkotha. The film is directed by Rajkumar, who earlier remade
Varsham in Tamil. Chakri is scoring music for the movie. Dialogues are by T
Rajasimha, lyrics are by Kandikonda, editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, art is
by Chinna, choreography is by Raju Sundaram and Pradeep Anthony, while action is
by Ram-Lakshman.
Hero Sairam Shankar is brother of sensational
directory Puri Jagannath, who is also producer to this film.
A press briefing was arranged at Vaishno Academy's office to announce
the title. Speaking on the occasion, Puri Jagannath says, 'The film had almost
completed its shooting but for the canning of a song. We are planning to launch
the audio in the first week of August and release the film in the last week. The
canning of the balance song would begin from July 25'.
The director said that this film deals with a different angle of love,
which would be innovative. With all the vital commercial elements included, this
film will certainly entertain all sections of the audience.

 As per sources that "Shankardada Zindabad" is releasing with 400 prints in Andhra Pradesh alone. No film in South India had released with 400 prints in a single state so far including Rajnikant's "Shivaji". Distribution company Siri Media, which bagged the rights for Nizam, is releasing it with 101 prints for Nizam area itself.
"Shankardada Zindabad" is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster "Lage Raho Munnabhai". The film is directed by Prabhu Deva and stars Chiranjeevi as Shankar Dada, Srikanth as A.T.M (Any Time Murder), Sayaji Shinde, Karishma Kotak, Sadha and Raja . The Music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad. It is all set to release on July 27, 2007.

 After the phenomenal success of the Rajnikant starrer Sivaji, there was bound to be a huge demand for the film’s director Shankar. The latest is that Shah Rukh Khan has managed to sign the director for his next film. Shah Rukh Khan was highly impressed with Shankar's directorial skills, after watching Sivaji starring Rajnikanth in the lead role. As per sources this is a sci-fi flick (it is tentatively titled Robot) and this venture will commence as soon as the present assignments (Om Shanti Om) of Khan are concluded. There is likely that Shah Rukh Khan may produce this film.
Interestingly, Shankar had considered Hrithik Roshan for the project. It is learnt that Hrithik has opted out because he would commence shooting for Krissh 2.
As per sources "Robot" is a pet project of film director Shankar for several years. The ace director always wanted to make a sci-fi film which he said would be a dream come true. Initially (few years back) it was proposed to start the film with Kamal Haasan in the lead role but it did not take off due to various difficulties.

To add to his failures, his last flick "Satyam Sivam Sundaram" directed by Malayali director Siddique is still in boxes and its release is doubtful in near future. Now, he is bouncing back with three films. He is coming back as "Takkari" with his first movie (Jayam) heroine Sada, which directed by Amma Rajasekhar, is already on the floor. He is signed up along with Mamatha Mohandas for R.R Movies' film to be directed by Ravi C. Kumar. He is paired with Kajal Agarwal in the film to be produced by Teja and directed by A.S.Ravikumar Chowdary.
