Synopsis A naked Bhagavantudu (Srikanth) saunters to the house of a political party Chief Somasileswara Rao (Chalapati Rao), carrying with him a packet as gift to the latter. The packet is opened at the feet of the politician. The chopped off hands of the politician's rival. Soon, Bhagavantudu earns the confidence of the party chief and his secretary Ruchi (Mumaith Khan). In no time, he contests the MLA elections. "I shall get seaport in Hyderabad," is his slogan and election promise. It clicks well and he finds his way to the Assembly. The next minute, he kills the party chief and the party secretary becomes his secretary. Secondly, he puts the police personnel in a fix, making the public revolt against them. At last, the entire state is in utter confusion thanks to mass resignation of the police. Bhagavantudu arrives at the climax to set right the things. What is his modus operandi? Watch the melodrama for yourself. Artistes Performance
Chalapati Rao played the party chief. You have a bunch of baddies in the flick done by some little known artistes.
Kalyani did the spouse to Srikanth. She gets stoned to clinical death and her children spot dead by a mob of minority group in a vile design conceived by her hubby's opponents.
Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and Krishna Bhagwan enacted a satire on the separate Telengana and Andhra issues. Venu Madhav and Duvvasi Mohan played the supportive roles. Brahmanandam and MS Narayana appear as funny MLAs, holding agitations with broomsticks.
Paruchuri Gopalakrishna did Srikanth's teacher. Technical Values This is totally the outcrop of Posani Krishna Murali's concept of the society. He makes an outcry, charging the general public (voters) responsible for the present state of politics mired in corruption. "If you sell your vote for liquor, sari or a hundred rupees, the politicians will not serve you. After all, they bought your vote. So, where is the scope for public service?" – This is all about Posani's sermonizing.
Screenplay is disappointing, but for an interesting climax, which is again stuffed with messages. This turns the show often into a documentary or serial. Srikanth's introduction shot in the naked form, lot of vulgar dialogues, scenes and violence are big minus points to the movie. The shot showing Kalyani with kids getting stoned to death is disgusting. It defies the logic of sane minds. Posani abused the already misused and overused Hindu-Muslim card on the screen. You have this subject in his earlier movie "Badradri Ramudu" (as script writer). Is this topic his forte? Sickening! Cinematography is average. Comedy is good in parts. Music is just Ok. FC Verdict : The movie is a big disappointment. |
