Synopsis Seenu (Ravi Teja) has a dream - to settle in Dubai. That's why he is also called as "Dubai Seenu". After reaching Mumbai through an agent Ramakrishna (Brahmanandam), all them are cheated by a 420 (Venu Madhav). They are further exploited as vendors by a greedy moneylender Patnaik (Krishna Bhagwan). One fine morning, Seenu happens to see a ravishing girl Madhumathi (Nayantara) in a city train. The one-side love is soon reciprocated. All of a sudden, the girl leaves Mumbai and reaches Hyderabad. Seenu too arrives in Hyderabad and finds the whereabouts of the girl in no time. Suddenly, Seenu kills the brother of a dreaded international criminal Jinnah (Sushanth – Bollywood artiste). His next target is Jinnah himself! What is the connection between Seenu's love for Madhu and revenge for Jinnah? Watch the movie for answers. Artistes Performance Ravi Teja did two shades – as a carefree youngster and a serious revenge seeker – with excellent ease. His dialogues and mannerism are agoodwatch.
Nayantara is a perfect match for Ravi Teja. She did justice to her cast as a Radio Jockey. But for songs, she has no direct role to play in the movie.
Sayaji Shinde
as a bad circle inspector brings much laughter in the theatre. We can
even say, he played the opposite to Ravi Teja with equal footage and
even providing more entertainment to the audience.
Sushanth played the main villain with superb relief. Venu Madhav, Brahmanandam, Krishna Bhagwan have contributed a lot to the comedy. But, the comedy provided by Sayaji Shinde overshadows all the three.
Story and direction by Seenu Vytla shows his objective is to win over the audience with just comedy, completely ignoring the realities. While dealing with a serious subject of "Mafia and Revenge", he should have taken all the care to bring in the required stuff. Screenplay is a complete disappointment. The treatment of revenge theme is conceived in an outdated style that suited well during the 70s and 80s. Though he tried his level best to maintain the suspense element, the audience would care little for it. There is absolutely no curiosity among the audience.
After
surprise hit of "Dhee", this flick (Dubai Seenu) is fresh from the
cannon of Seenu Vytla. As most of the film was made during the
stalemate over release of "Dhee", everybody thought the director must
have eyed on the best. But it disappoints to the core. The first half
begins on just OK note, but in a few minutes, there is lot of
entertainment and the tempo is built with good interval bang. The
second half is a complete disappointment. Cinematography is good, particularly showing Nayantara in a couple of shots in some forgettable song sequences. |
