The poll which concluded on June 20th has received a record number of 42,654 polls both off and online put together. While online polled 20,765 votes, offline got 21, 889 votes. This is by far the largest sample size used ever in any surveys in Hyderabad, declared Mr. Ramakrishna, Publisher of the Prism Magazine which is conducting the opinion poll of its kind.

The poll was conducted from June 1st to 20th on the eleven categories which include the favourite Hotel, Resort, Restaurant, Biryani Joint, Pub/Bar, Movie Theatre, Shopping Mall, Weekend Outing Spot, Jewellery Store, Supermarket and Hangout Joint of Hyderabad.

According to the poll results, the following are three nominees in each category emerged for the final recognition, "The Hydourite 2007 Winner" which is presented to only one outlet in each category in a special function to be held in city on June 30.

Favourite Star Hotel : ITC Kakatiya Sheraton & Towers, Taj Banjara, Taj Krishna.
Favourite Resort : Aalankrita, Golkonda Resorts, Pragati Resorts
Favourite Restaurant : Eatstreet, Ohri’s, Utsav
Favourite Biryani joint : Bawarchi, Hyderabad House, Paradise
Favourite Pub : Bottles & Chimneys, Ten Downing Street, Touch
Favourite Movie Theatre : Prasads IMAX, PVR, Sangeet
Favourite Shopping Mall : Hyderabad Central, Lifestyle, MPM Mall
Favourite Weekend outing Spot: Mount Opera, NTR Gardens, Ocean Park
Favourite Jewellery store : Alukkas, Khazana, Tanishq
Favourite Supermarket : Food World, Magna, Spencers
Favourite Hangout joint : Café Coffee Day, Eat Street, Necklace Road

The Opinoin Poll was conducted all over twin cities through contest forms and on the website www.hydourite.com. Towards this purpose, the organisers have pressed in the services of 150 poll survey executives who went around distributing contest forms and collecting the same, informed Mr. Ramakrishna.

The winners will be declared and due recognition "The Hydourite 2007 Winner" will be accorded to them in a special function to be held on June 30 in the city. Very eminent people in the industry and achievers in the society will present these recognitions on June 30th, added Ramakrishna.
