Story : Venkata Ramana (Venu) is an honest Police Officer. His spouse Banumati (Sangeetha) is an irritant, and keeps on pestering the hubby to get corrupt so that the home could be full with gifts and cash. But, Venkat couldn’t do this. One day, the wife forces the hubby to purchase a lottery ticket, which he does. Immediately, they go a hotel, but no money to pay the bill. Somehow, they come out after assuring the waitress that half of the lottery ticket’s money would be given to her, if the ticket wins through. Interestingly, the lottery is won and Venu keeps up his promise. He shells down Rs. 5 crore to the waitress on which the wife enters into a wretched quarrel. In spite of riches, the woes of the hubby continue. Why? It forms the crux of the story. This is a remake of 1990's Hollywood flick "It could happen to you". This movie already having a good story if accompanied with a gripping screenplay would work wonders at the box office. One major mistake is for introducing the Telugu style, the logic of the film is lost.
Screenplay : Screenplay tempo
maintained in the first half is not continued in the second. But
Krishna Reddy continued his own style in the climax. Music : The average verdict of this film can be due to the songs. This would have repeat audience if good music is present. Except 1st song and Sunil's song, others are average. No good picturisation and mediocre background score. Artists Performance :
Venu : Played the role a wife’s victim to perfection but still he need polish his skilss
For S.V Krishna Reddy as a director this movie maybe a
comeback. The movie, which holds some promise to family crowds, For people liking Krishna
Reddy’s mark may like this film. Whatever it is….. The movie stands
average. |
