A major property developer from New York, Tismon Spayer in association with ICICI venture will build a huge skyscraper at the SEZ being set up by the APIIC at Nanakramguda near Hyderabad.The venture has been christened ‘Wave Rock, and will come up on a 12 acre land. The project once completed will have the state of the art facilities and will have the capacity to accommodate about 20,000 employees. Above photo is a prototype of the 18-storeyed WaveRock building proposed at Gachibowli. TSI Ventures will leverage on Tishman Speyer’s large global customer base to get anchor tenants and customers for the office space project. Wave Rock will be able to offer 15,000-20,000 sq feet of contiguous space to large tenants in an SEZ environment in Gachibowli, the emerging financial district of Hyderabad. The first phase of Wave Rock will be completed by the fourth quarter of 2008 and the entire project will be ready by the third quarter of 2009. When completed, it will have the capacity to seat 20,000 people. Tishman Speyer is looking at developing an iconic landmark in Hyderabad with Wave Rock much like its other commercial properties like Rockefeller Centre and Chrysler Building in New York, Torre Norte in Brazil and the Sony centre in Berlin. The architects firm for the project is Pei Cobb Freed and Partners, known for landmarks like the Grand Louvre Pyramid, Paris and the Bank of China Tower, Hong Kong |
