Sunita Williams, the Indian-American astronaut is expected to participate in the prestigious 58th International Astronautical Congress (IAC)-2007 to be held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre here from September 24 to 28. She may attend along with Michael Griffin, Administrator, NASA, will attend the congress . K. Radhakrishnan, Director of National Remote Sensing Agency, said Ms. Williams was expected to attend the plenary session on the last day of the congress and they are awaiting confirmation from her. The theme of the Congress is ‘Touching Humanity: Space for improving quality of life’. Heads of 24 space agencies, scientists, policy makers, global industry professionals from aerospace and allied industries would attend.
