A senior executive of software major Satyam Computers, Vedula Satyanarayana who was kidnapped from Hyderabad on Tuesday by some unidentified men, was been rescued by police from kidnappers late in the night from their hideout at Nekonda village in Warangal district. Four kidnappers have also been taken into custody. The 30-year-old was kidnapped when he went to drop his daughter at her school. Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh on Tuesday said that Satyanarayana rang up his wife and informed her about his being kidnapped. The reason for the kidnap is not known but it is said to be a financial deal that is behind the kidnap. It has become quite common in Hyderabad today, particularly for those in the real estate business. Professional goons are on the prowl and rich businessmen are being kidnapped wither for ransom or in connection with land settlements.             |
