| Nvidia Opens Design Center In Hyderabad |

The Hyderabad facility is NVIDIA’s third design center in India. In February 2005, the company opened its first Indian center in Bangalore, followed by the second facility in Pune in March 2006. NVIDIA employs over 800 people in India, a significant proportion of its global workforce. Jen Hsun Huang, co-founder, president and chief executive officer of NVIDIA Corporation, said: “India has proved to be an exciting market with phenomenal growth. With the launch of the third facility in the country we are strengthening our commitment to the Indian market. “The Hyderabad design center is modeled on NVIDIA’s existing design centers, with a state-of-the-art facility and data center allowing top-to-bottom design of advanced graphics and digital media processors. This design center will be our focal point for our efforts into strengthening our position in the handheld products market.” NVIDIA India managing director J A Chowdhary said that with the sincere support and dedicated contribution of their employees, the company could get a design centre in Hyderabad. Apart from their work, the employees are also involved in Corporate Social Responsibility in a big way, he added. Since its founding, NVIDIA has invested over $1billion into research and development. The company intends to continue its R&D investment on a worldwide basis. |
