Is the Ramoji
empire started to fall? As per sources it is true that things are falling one
after the other for Ramoji
group. The latest is that tribunal has found that Ramoji Rao and his group are in possession
of about 1,380 acres of excess land, which is in violation of the AP
Land Reforms (Ceiling on Agricultural Holdings) rules 1974. The
tribunal has issued a notice to Ramoji Rao and has given 15 days time
to respond.
The Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranga Reddy East Division, constituting the Land Reform Tribunal has held that the group of companies headed by Editor of Eenadu, Ch. Ramoji Rao, was in possession of about 1,363 acres of excess land under the AP Land Reforms (Ceiling on Agriculture Holdings) Act.
One P. Balaji Verma of Hyderabad had filed complaints
with the tribunal alleging that the following were holding excess land: Dolphin
Hotels Ltd, Margadarsi Chit Funds, Margadarsi Housing, Usha Kiron Movies
Limited, Ushodaya Enterprises, Ushakiran Movies, Ch. Kiran and Ch. Suman, (both
sons of Mr. Ramoji Rao). The tribunal concluded that of the 1804 acres held by
