Ramoji Group possesses 1,363 acres excess land E-mail
Is the Ramoji empire started to fall? As per sources it is true that things are falling one after the other for Ramoji group. The latest is that tribunal has found that Ramoji Rao and his group are in possession of about 1,380 acres of excess land, which is in violation of the AP Land Reforms (Ceiling on Agricultural Holdings) rules 1974. The tribunal has issued a notice to Ramoji Rao and has given 15 days time to respond.

he Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranga Reddy East Division, constituting the Land Reform Tribunal has held that the group of companies headed by Editor of Eenadu, Ch. Ramoji Rao, was in possession of about 1,363 acres of excess land under the AP Land Reforms (Ceiling on Agriculture Holdings) Act.

One P. Balaji Verma of Hyderabad had filed complaints with the tribunal alleging that the following were holding excess land: Dolphin Hotels Ltd, Margadarsi Chit Funds, Margadarsi Housing, Usha Kiron Movies Limited, Ushodaya Enterprises, Ushakiran Movies, Ch. Kiran and Ch. Suman, (both sons of Mr. Ramoji Rao). The tribunal concluded that of the 1804 acres held by them, 1363 acres was in excess of the agricultural ceiling limit as no exemption was sought for conversion of land.
