| Business: Biocon to set up pharma plant in Vizag |

Biocon Ltd., India's largest biotechnology firm, Friday said it planned to invest Rs.10 billion to set up a bio-pharma plant in Andhra Pradesh. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, chairman and managing director, Biocon Ltd, announced that the company would set up the plant in Jawahar Pharma City, a Special Economic Zone, at Atchutapuram Mandal of Visakhapatnam district. According to a government statement, Shaw, who is here in connection with the ongoing BioAsia 2007, met Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. |
