State Government allotted about 40 acres of land to Cognizant Technology Solutions for its expansion plans in at Adibatla village in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district.
Cognizant is an a 1.42-billion dollar company, had invested Rs 35 crores and employed 2,250 people at its Hyderabad operation signed a memorandum of Understanding with the state IT Secretary K Ratna Prabha in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekha Reddy and IT Minister Sabitha Reddy here in Hyderabad. Under the expansion plans, the company is planning to invest Rs 330 crores on its facilities, construction of fully-owned techno complex and add over 20 lakh sq feet space for over 12,000 new employees by 2012.
