| MCH Asks Operators To Remove Cables Within A Week |

The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad has given a week's time to cable operators and Internet providers to remove wires stringed to streetlights and electric poles. If they fail to do so, the corporation will take necessary steps to remove them as per law without any further intimation.
Commissioner Sanjay Jaju on Wednesday charged cable television operators and internet providers with unauthorisedly stringing streetlight poles with cables. This was causing accidents due to loose spanning and preventing proper maintenance of lights besides spoiling the skyscape, he added.             |
