Visakhapatnam airport work on the new runway with night landing facility has been completed and it is awaiting the final clearance.
Air Travellers Association of India (Vizag chapter) President D Varada Reddy today said an aircraft would land here on May 9'th as part of getting the final clearance for the new runway.
He said the new runway would enable landing of wide-bodied aircrafts even in adverse weather conditions like heavy rain or fog.
The new runway set up at the cost of Rs 191 crore had all latest facilities, he added.
